Former star forward and Sydney premiership captain Barry Hall has been recruited by Gold Coast as a part-time coach.

Hall, who kicked 746 goals in his 289-game AFL career with Sydney, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs, will be reunited with his former coach Rodney Eade at the Suns, and act as a mentor for players such as Tom Lynch, Steven May, Peter Wright, Rory Thompson and Sam Day.
The 11-time leading club goalkicker will keep his media commitments with Fox Footy, but was excited about the opportunity ahead.
"I'm looking forward to working with what I regard as one of the most exciting spines in the AFL," Hall said.
"Throughout the year I often spoke with Rocket about the guys and I'm looking forward to getting involved and helping them throughout the year."
Eade, who coached Hall at the Bulldogs, said the former forward would offer a "wealth of experience" as a specialist coach.
"As a former premiership captain, Barry brings a wealth of experience to the role and we believe our key position players will learn plenty under Barry's guidance," Eade said.
