Mount Isa darts professionals travelled to Tennant Creek on the weekend to compete in the Golden Nugget Darts Competition with great results being produced.

The pro-am competition was won by Mount Isa local Phil Robinson with his partner, there was also strong performances from Daniel Flanigan making the semi-final and Lionel Goupil making the quarter final.
The two girls representing Mount Isa, Rachael Ferguson and Linda Goupil, also put in a very strong showing coming close to making it to the finals despite some of Australia's best female players being present.
Scott Ramsbotham and Carl O'Keffee both got the honour of playing the 28th ranked darts player in the world, Kyle Anderson, in the singles.
The highest ranked Mount Isa player was Geoff Ramsbotham finishing in fifth place in the whole competition.
Daniel Flanigan said all competitors who represented Mount Isa did a fantastic job and should all be proud of their efforts.
