Mount Isa Kmart’s customer service manager Nicole Hall said the store’s target was 800 presents which would be given to the Salvation Army.
Presents could be donated under the wishing tree until Christmas Eve.
“142 is not so great so far but apparently the trend in previous years is the majority of gifts are donated the week of Christmas,” Ms Hall said.
