Musclemania said he was new to the competition scene and Liam told them family was his motivation.
“The 5’8″, 171 lbs., 28 year old plumber tradesman was born and raised in a small mining town,” Musclemania said.
That’s true, but what Musclemania did not reveal was it wasn’t just any old mining town.
Liam hails from Mount Isa but now lives, works and trains on the Gold Coast, though his mum – the mainstay of that family motivation – still lives in the Isa.
When the North West Star last caught up with Liam before he headed for Las Vegas, he told us Mount Isa was still in his thinking and he had an important goal related to the city.
“I want break records and I want to set records too, I want to get my name into the history of fitness,” Burnham said. “I’ll definitely make it on that (Isa) billboard!”
