The association’s secretary Chloe Smith said members are fundraising to afford the accommodation and team shirts for the North Queensland Masters tournament and Intercity Shield to to be held in April.
They planned to do that with community barbecues.
They would also supported the Pioneer night markets and hoped another was to be organised.
At this stage we have enough men to form the men’s teams.

The Pioneer night markets were typically based in the car park in front of the bowling alley, and therefore further promoted it as a family environment, Smith said.
Smith said the association was also looking to get enough players to form a women’s team at the inner city competition.
“At this stage we have enough men to form the men’s teams,” Smith said.
Each team was normally made up of five bowlers and two reserves.
Division at the inner city competition included the team games, the individual games, the seniors cup, the restricted cup, and the open masters.
The association also sought further numbers in general.
Numbers of competitors based in Mount Isa had been dwindling in recent years, Smith said.
This was perhaps due to financial costs and the reduction of running lanes at the alley.
Tenpin bowling sessions were held Tuesday morning, Wednesday night, and Thursday night.
A members session was also held Saturday afternoons.
The inner city competition was held in Mackay in 2016.
In 2015 it was held in Cairns, and in the year previous it was played in Mount Isa.
The home lanes suited association treasurer Les Smith, who won the restricted division in 2014.
He won with impressive scores of 201, 213, and 193 which was enough to outdo the other players and claim the victory at the Mount Isa Ten Pin Centre.
In the women’s side of the draw that year, Mount Isa’s Helen Dries was able to take second place.
She was narrowly defeated by Burdekin bowler Jehseika Bunyan.
Mount Isa’s Barry Rodgers managed to reach the grand final in the seniors division, but eventually lost to Brian Roughsedge.
