The future of Radradra has been the subject of great discussion over the past 18 months, but it was finally put to bed on Wednesday when Parramatta confirmed he would be leaving the club after their 2017 campaign.

Radradra, who is off contract with the Eels at the end of this year, is believed to have signed a deal worth close to $700,000 a year with Toulon.

​The Eels weren't willing to pay that sort of money for a winger and, despite an attempt to raise his price for this year and extend his contract until 2019, were never going to match it with the rugby powerhouse.

Parramatta chief executive Bernie Gurr confirmed to club members on Wednesday night that the try-scoring machine wouldn't be in blue and gold beyond the end of this season.

"The Parramatta Eels Rugby League Club have been advised by George Christodoulou, the manager of Semi Radradra, that Semi has accepted an offer to play rugby union for the Toulon Rugby Club for the 2017/2018 European rugby season, with an option for a second year being the 2018/2019 season," Gurr said in an email.

"This option for the second season is in favour of Semi Radradra. The European rugby season operates from approximately August thru May."

While Radradra is expected to see out the year, his immediate future is still uncertain given he will front court on February 13 facing domestic violence charges relating to his ex-girlfriend.

Parramatta and the NRL are keeping a close eye on the matter and could be forced to hand down a lengthy suspension if the winger is found guilty.

"Semi has a court appearance on 13 February, 2017," Gurr said.

"As advised previously to Semi and his manager, Semi will fulfil his 2017 playing contract with the Parramatta Eels as the Club will not release Semi from his 2017 obligations to our club; accordingly, the earliest Semi could commence at Toulon is early November 2017.

"In early December 2016 the Parramatta Eels indicated our wish to keep Semi at our Club by making a very attractive offer to Semi for the 2017 (upgrade of existing contract), 2018 and 2019 NRL seasons. The offer from Toulon was substantially higher than our Club's offer. We look forward to Semi being a most productive member of the 2017 Parramatta Eels playing squad and then we wish Semi well in his rugby union venture with Toulon."

Meanwhile the future of James Segeyaro remains up in the air, with the Cronulla Sharks still in the box seat to snare his services if he is granted a release from his deal with Leeds.

It is understood Segeyaro agreed to terminate his original contract with the English Super League club on the proviso he received an upgraded extension.

However Segeyaro wants to now remain in Australia and his management is arguing that he is not obliged to remain in Leeds given he had terminated his original deal and began negotiating an extension.

If a compromise is reached, he is expected to join the reigning champions to fill the void left by Michael Ennis' retirement.
