Townview won the toss and elected to bat.
Townview captain Billie Baillie and D. Burke got off to a quick start finding early boundaries until Baillie was caught at mid wicket by Ben Bravos off the bowling of Cam Conlan for 24.
Regular wickets fell after that with the other opening bat Burke falling for 14 runs when he was bowled by Jamie Stewart.
Luke Henry batted well to make a half century.
He got to 53 when he was stumped by Trent Cameron off the bowling of Scott Kyle.
Townview didn’t get to bat out its alloted 40 overs.
They were all out in the 34th over with a total of 142 runs on the board.
Best bowlers for Blackstars were A. Lawrenson with three wickets for 15 runs off 8 overs, Kyle with three wickets for 22 runs off 5 overs and spinner Jamie Stewart with two wickets for 36 runs off his 8 overs.
Andrew Cullis and Trent Cameron confidently opened the batting for Blackstars and Cullis (59) and Cameron (69 not out) motored along well ahead of the required run rate finding regular boundaries and running well between the wickets.
Cullis was finally caught off the bowling of Billie Baillie when there were just 14 runs left to clinch victory.

Trent Laffin came in and went for just two runs when he was caught at mid on.
Cameron hit the winning runs in the 23rd over giving Blackstars the victory by eight wickets with 17 overs to spare.
Best bowlers for Townview were Billie Baillie who took one wicket for 35 runs in six overs and Matt Walker who took one wicket for five runs in his only over.
This weekend Townview play Cavaliers while Bulls play Challengers.
