Cloncurry’s Australia Day Awards start at 9am at the Cloncurry Community Precinct.
Australia Ambassador Dr Tim Baker will be special gust with a free barbecue brunch after the ceremony.
It is followed by an Australia Day sports event at 2pm at the Cloncurry Recreation Grounds with bush cricket, a tug-of-war competition with $500 for the winning team and some old Australia Day games.
You must nominate teams for tug-of-war and cricket with Cloncurry council by January 24.
Celebrations conclude that evening with a free Australia Day Dive in Movie at Cloncurry Swimming Pool.
Entry is at 7pm with the movie to start 7.45pm.
There will also be a free sausage sizzle.
