Police have located six people missing in flood waters in the Gulf. Burketown Police heard Monday a vehicle left Gregory for Mount Isa on Sunday however the Gregory Downs-Camooweal Road is closed due to flooding. When they did not arrive in Mount Isa, the vehicle was subsequently located partially submerged in flood waters near the Seymour River by a Queensland Government Air plane. A helicopter located the group at 6pm, 8km north of the vehicle.
