Project Booyah is recruiting in Mount Isa, and looking for young people aged 14.5 to 17. Any young person or parent can apply at the Mount Isa Police Station and completing a referral form. Police Liaison Officer Serena Daniels can also assist.

Project Booyah is a police run leadership and mentor program that utilises adventure based learning, decision making/problem solving exercises, resilience training, policing strategies and family inclusive principles to help young people make better life choices.
Applications for the semester 1 intake for 2017 close on January 30. An information session for successful applications will be held at the Mount Isa PCYC in early February, before the commencement of the program on February 13.
The program requires the applicant to participate in two full days a week and some weekends. Project Booyah first commenced in Mount Isa in 2016, and the selected participants were successful in graduating from the program. For more information go to Project Booyah website projectbooyah.com.au
