LOCAL Indigenous hip hop artist Joseph Dargan flies from Townsville on Monday to perform at the Yabun Festival in Sydney on January 26.

Dargan, who performs under the name Lucky Luke, drives from Mount Isa to save about $1000 on tickets – after paying for his mother Violet, his brother and a friend to fly with him. His drive from Mount Isa was delayed while he found a thermostat for his car.
He will perform a new song collaborated with hip hop duo Coda Conduct. “Anyone who knows Aussie hip hop is going to go ‘wow, this guy knows these girls,” Dargan said.
He live-streams on his musician’s Facebook account, found by typing Currymurri13. His performance is scheduled for 12.15pm (AEST), January 26.
