Five people were admitted to hospital, and 30 others have reported symptoms of diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting.
Those affected were at the Filipino Santo Niño feast on Sunday morning at the Church.
Mount Isa Public Health Unit is testing food samples and is warning attendees not to consume any leftover food from the event.
Public Health Director Dr Steven Donohue is urging attendees who feel unwell to seek medical treatment.
He also wants to speak with as many attendees as possible to help determine the source of the outbreak.
People showing symptoms should contact their GP or phone 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84).
