The Young Citizen of the Year is Emma-Jade Molloy, who last year encouraged a Year 12 classmate to complete their schooling when almost giving up.
The Mayor’s Community Spirit Award went to Brad Smith and the PCYC Boxing program. The PCYC is also the Community Organisation of the Year.
Senior Sports Award was presented to Nicole Saunders, while the Dave Watt Memorial Junior Sports Award went to Harleigh O’Brien.
The Sports Administrator Award went to the Cloncurry Show Society Horse Events coordinators, while the Community Event of the Year went to the Red Dirt Relay for Life committee.
The Cultural Award went to St Joseph’s School’s Rock, Pop, Mime group. The Sarus Crane went to Sandra Mitchell.
Four Achievement Awards went to Richard Watkins, Freda Pyke, Natalee Sanderson, and Nancy Dodd.
