Police are treating the sudden death of a 56 year old woman in Mount Isa as ‘suspicious’.

The woman’s partner found her unconscious at their home on McNamara Street in Healy on Tuesday at around 4pm.

Four police cars, two ambulances, and one fire engine were called, but the woman was pronounced deceased at 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
Plain Clothes Sergeant Luke Harwood from the Mount Isa Criminal Investigation Bureau confirmed the body is currently undergoing an autopsy in Brisbane.
