Police arrested the man at the Mount Isa Airport at 8.49am on Wednesday.
Mount Isa Detective Sergeant Warren Ford said that 400 grams of Ice-Amphetamine and 65 grams of cannabis was found in the man’s carry bag.
The cannabis is valued to be $1000.
The man has been charged with drug matters including trafficking a dangerous drug. He remains in custody.
He is scheduled to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Thursday morning, Detective Sergeant Ford said.
“This is a significant location of Ice-Amphetamine,” he said.
“Mount Isa police have been targeting Ice-Amphetamine as a drug that causes widespread abuse and destruction in the community.
“The significant finding will reduce availability of the drug within the Mount Isa and the Cloncurry community.”
