The IsaRATS Mount Isa Running and Triathlon Club's 2017 Corporate Triathlon went off with a bang with 52 teams doing the course in tough hot conditions on Saturday.

Taking part were 52 teams of three in the sprint distance triathlon which consisted of a 750m swim in the lake, 20km bike ride on the road towards town and a 5km run to the dam wall and back.
Isarats president Craig Nicholson welcomed competitors urging them to have fun despite the heat but also to make sure to follow the Triathlon Australia rules.
Overall winners were 'The Expendables' a team made up of Mike Adendorff, Geoff Baker and Richard Epstine.
Female section winners were 'Never Back Down' consisting of Stephanie Mansell, Tara O'Brien and Kimberly Acorn.
Best in the mixed team category were the 'Cool Cats' made up of Leon Bennett, Haylee Scanlan, and David Atkinson.
Preparations for the Julia Creek Dirt N Dust continue with the first Race to the Creek at Lake Moondarra on Sunday February 19.
