One of Queensland’s largest mining and engineering exhibitions, MineX is scheduled for May 16 to 18 at the Buchanan Park events complex.
Organisers say MineX will introduce new elements aimed at further benefitting one of Australia’s largest economic sectors opening up a world of mining and engineering with over 100 indoor and open air exhibits showcasing new technology from local, national and international suppliers.
Aerial videography and photography specialist Robert Mathieson of Outback Drones is showcasing his company’s state of the art services at their first MineX.
“We believe exhibiting will give us the opportunity to showcase just what services and capabilities we can provide to the industry,” he said.

“Drone technology has come a long way in the last few years, we now can provide services to many industries with a vast range of capabilities from aerial imagery, videography, safety and security inspections, incident imagery, and many others.”
MineX day one Tuesday May 16 will be an industry only day where some of the regions largest employers and service users will offer exhibitors one on one matched appointment sessions with suppliers and preview the latest products and services.
There will also be guest speakers, an industry update and panel session featuring some of the region’s most influential people and an evening networking function.
Commerce North West president Travis Crowther said this day provided a direct opportunity for exhibitors to highlight the unique selling points of their products and services to the buyer.
“It also allows industry representatives who would potentially be purchasing products and engaging services a one stop shop to see everything that is available for their operations,” he said.
The following days May 17 and 18 are free entry to the public. Register for the industry only one on one at www.minexqld.com/attend.
