The Lumen Christi Centre was transformed into a Hawaiian beach scene with Tiki statue props, surfboards and Leis.
Personal stories of families needing the Ronald McDonald House while seeking medical treatment were shared between musical entertainment and games and before the auction was held.
Ronald McDonald House North Queensland chief executive Amy Cooper said 450 families rely on the Townsville based House and its family retreat in Palm Cove each year for accommodation and services.
“And while this evening is about raising funds for the charities so many of you hold so close to your own hearts it’s also very much an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of the Mount Isa community,” Ms Cooper said.
“This is a community that deeply understands what it takes to support each other in times of crisis.”
