IsaRATS president Craig Nicholson said the day went well.
“There were great numbers, 62 entrants including one team from IsaRATS and the CurryCATS from Cloncurry,” Mr Nicholson said.
There were two races, an entice race for beginningers of 300m swim, 10km bike ride and 5km run and the sprint distance of 750m, 20km ride and 5km run.
“The event was delayed by an hour due to rain but commitee members got busy and cleaned the road off with brooms and shovels and the water drained fairly quickly,” Mr Nicholson said.
“It was good to see lots of new faces and new members signing up after the corporate tri.”
Mark Thinee won the men’s sprint event with Michelle Ball first across the line in the women’s race.
Greg Warren won the men’s enticer with Vicki Nicholson first in the women’s.
The second Race to the Creek is on March 5.
