The event was attended by Jacob Takurit and Desmond Joseph from Mob FM who mc'ed the evening and got the audience and competitors off to a roaring start.
The $2 entry fee, barbecue dinner and cold drinks raised money for the Barkly Highway State School student council.
Among the singing, dancing, and comedy routines, the talent was obvious and the crowd interaction was high.
The 13 acts were scored for originality, audience response, talent, and stage performance.
The teachers even got in on the act with their highly physical act, complete with singing, dancing and acrobatics.
The students were delighted to see their teachers going crazy and the applause brought the house down.
The prizes on the night were the envy of all students, with the major prize being a $100 Kmart gift voucher, $50 voucher for second and $25 voucher for third.
The overall winner was Year 5 student Clarissa Taule'alo with her toe-tapping singing act.
Second place was awarded to Madison Randl with her ballet performance, and third prize was awarded to Jessica Celona with her energetic Scottish highland dance.
