Club rugby battlers Eastwood sit on a real estate gold mine. The Sydney Sevens sold out Allianz Stadium over a blistering hot January. Last winter, the Shute Shield grand final drew more than 10,000 people to North Sydney Oval to watch an underdog topple the silver spoons of club rugby. This winter, Macquarie University will take part in the inaugural domestic women's sevens competition. And on Saturday afternoon, rugby fans will be able to watch the best of Sydney and Brisbane club rugby go head to head live on television for the first time.
