The idea was popular among women in particular, with loads of good-as-new dresses, skirts, bags, heels, and fascinators at low prices.
Each stall holder paid $10 to sell their wares, which went towards local animal rescue organisation Paws Hoofs and Claws.
Alison Gibbs, entrant for the 2017 Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest, sold designer and high street labels to contribute to her fundraising efforts for Ronald McDonald House, North Queensland.
Ms Gibbs was inundated with garments last week to help with her Queen Quest fundraiser, and hopes to on-sell the remaining clothes in the next few weeks.
Organisers at Outback at Isa said the event was a success, and stall holders were mostly happy with the number of people who came through to browse.
The next Too New To Be Threw event will most likely be in September.
