The five kilometre fun run attracts all kinds of people, from serious runners and casual walkers to families and mums with babies.
Tickets for the June 4 event are on sale now at www.trybooking.com.
On completion of the course (or just part of it) participants gather to throw Holi powders in the air for a fun spectacle of colour.
The money raised will go towards cancer research.
$40 cash tickets will be available closer to the time at hit 102.5 radio station.
Organiser Emma Harman says the event is always a huge amount of fun, and a real sight to behold.
“In the middle of winter the lake is really beautiful, with crisp clear blue skies, and the lake reflects that with all the greenery too,” Ms Harman says.
The Holi colour powders are imported from India where they are used in Holi spring festival, or “festival of colour”.
A goodie bag is provided upon entry which included water, powders, and other bits and pieces.
The event also attracts the local photography club, seizing the bright visual opportunity.
