Entrepreneur Naomi Simson will be coming to Mount Isa to speak at the dinner and to congratulate the recipients of Mount Isa's Woman of Achievement, and Young Woman of Achievement.
The Woman of Achievement Award nominees are:
Erin Wallace – Erin coordinated fundraisers for Pink Ribbon Day and successfully raised $7000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Emma Harman and Beck Moore - Both ladies established the annual event ‘Colours for Cancer Fun Run’ in 2015 and over 2 years have raised $27,000 for cancer research.
Eryan Haddon - Eryan is the founder and president of WIMAN – Women In Motion Area Network – a support and networking group for Mount Isa’s women in business and women in professional positions.
Gina Scott - Gina is a dedicated police officer who received QPS Awards for Excellence in Crime Prevention and Excellence in Problem-Oriented and Partnership Policing in 2008.
Justice King - Justice is a young Indigenous woman with a passion for change on a national level.
Katie Murr - Katie’s positive attitude and eagerness to learn and experience new things has assisted her to achieve acceptance into ‘Young Endeavour 2017’.
Kerry Derrick - Kerry is a school teacher-aid and mentor for disadvantaged children.
Marissa Sherry - Marissa educates carers, community members, children and young people about the importance of human rights and personal safety.
Megan Munchenberg - Megan has a passion for campdraft, the cattle industry and natural resource management.
Nadia Cowperthwaite - Nadia has a third Dan blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do and provides low cost self-defence classes to women
Sally Prendergast - Sally owns multiple businesses including a dance merchandise retail store, online business ‘Creations by Cicci Aust.’ and dance school ‘DiLi’.
Sarah Gale - Sarah encourages and motivates people at all fitness levels to make positive lifestyle changes.
Sherrie Tuppurainen - Sherrie has worked all the way to the top in the Real Estate Industry.
Tracy Pertovt - Tracy is President of the Rotary Club of Mount Isa.
Bianca Carloss - Bianca is the driving force behind the Booyah Program in Mount Isa.
