The chairperson of Southern Gulf Natural Resource Management took out the award on a gala night at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Saturday.
Ms Munchenberg said she was overwhelmed and delighted to receive the award from guest of honour businesswoman Naomi Simson in such a strong field of nominees.
Southern Gulf NRM CEO Andrew McLean said he nominated her for the award.
“That’s why you can’t get the smile off my face now,” he said.
Ms Munchenberg’s nomination said she had a passion for campdraft, the cattle industry and natural resource management.
“Megan has ample experience and knowledge supporting her position as chair of Southern Gulf NRM,” the nomination read.
“She has also been involved in the Gregory Campdraft Committee and Race Club as a dedicated member of the community and acquired funding for weed management as part of her commitment to the region’s natural resource.”
Gabrielle Wakefield won the young woman of achievement award ahead of 15 other nominees.
The Spinifex College Year 12 student holds down a part-time job, plays netball and softball, coaches junior softball and is a sergeant in the Air Force cadets.
