If one of your male workmates showed up at work on Monday morning with nail polish on, it is highly likely that he participated with his child in the Superhero Scramble on the weekend.

Gecko Outdoor Sports welcomed a hoard of children to Kruttschnitt Oval for its annual Superhero Scramble on Sunday.
Children aged 6-12 years old participated alongside a parent or other adult in a series of challenges engaging their minds and bodies, with 70 teams in total.
Event organiser Alison Whitehead said the tailor-made race focused on participation, healthy competition and sportsmanship.
The under 6-year-old Superhero Squirts were the first to hit the start line and participated in blowing bubbles, painting Mum or Dad’s face, finding marbles in a slime bucket, an obstacle course, and throwing sponge bombs into Sponge Bob’s mouth.
The Superhero Scramblers aged 6-12 years old then took to the course, participating in nine mystery challenges and one known challenge.
The Groovy Moves challenge had parents and guardians learning and practicing 16 seconds of a dance that was sent to them via email the week before the event.
One of the challenges was a nail polish station where children painted their adult’s nails, a messy speed test providing several fathers with a fresh new look.
Two challenges had a penalty if participants chose to opt out, but amazingly none were handed out.
Participants travelled through the area, running through Kruttschnitt Oval to Splashez Aquatic Centre, completing water challenges and running back through Parkside.
Kids participated with either their Mum, Dad, Grandparent, sister or brother.
There were lots of smiles, especially as they crossed the finish line and were rewarded with a Superhero Scramble Medal.
Gecko Outdoor Sports would like to say a very big thank you to all the volunteers who dressed up in their Superhero costumes and the sponsors who enabled the event to proceed.
Special thanks went to Paul Fletcher for his carpentary skills, making the physical structures at each challenge.
