A new criminal gang has emerged publicly on the Gold Coast for the first time, sparking police warnings of extreme violence, weapon and drug trafficking.

Police on Tuesday afternoon swooped on a Labrador unit owned by a member of The Last Hour (DLASTHR), a Sydney-based gang.
They found drugs and ammunition allegedly belonging to gang member Kris Mircevski, 34, along with bank cards and driver licences traced to recent break and enters.
A key found at the address opened a storage locker that allegedly contained a stolen motorcycle.
Taskforce Maxima Detective Inspector Phillip Stevens said police had been aware of a small number of members of the gang living on the Gold Coast for some time, and others visiting regularly.
But he said this was the first time the anti-gang taskforce had taken action against the emerging threat.
"The gang itself is a very violent gang," he said.
"There was a lot of issues with it in New South Wales around 2013.
"They're believed to be involved in murders, extortions, debt collecting, drug trafficking - extremely violent."
The gang was linked to a deadly shooting in a Sydney park as recently as December and to shootings, firebombings and standover tactics in the year before that.
Inspector Stevens said the gang emerged in about 2002 in Sydney. It was believed to have stemmed from the infamous Assyrian Kings.
In Sydney, the group had been in conflict with other organised crime groups but Inspector Stevens said he did not have strong concerns about that taking place in Queensland, where the group still had very few members.
Inspector Stevens described the Gold Coast as a "melting pot" for organised crime thanks to the high level of both supply of and demand for illicit trade.
He was open to the possibility that successful targeting of bikie gangs in the area may have opened the door for other gangs.
"We're aware that because we've been so hard on the traditional OMCGs, that new clubs may emerge, purely because the legislation is directed to those more traditional clubs and if someone comes up with a different name, we've got to act pretty quick," he said, but assured the public Maxima had the situation "in hand."
Mr Mircevski was charged with 34 offences, including producing and possessing drugs and possessing weapons and explosives.
He was expected to face Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Kylie Anne Worthington, a 29-year-old woman living at the same address, was one count of possess category M weapon and possess drug utensil, to appear on April 6.
