MineX 2017 Exhibitor and Meet the Buyer Coordinator Beth Anderson said the Industry and Trade Only day program which included an industry breakfast, Mining the North West Information Session, complimentary morning and afternoon teas and tailored Meet the Buyer/Business Matching Sessions delivered a focused business environment and platform for professional development and ideas sharing.
“This year Commerce North West really wanted to focus on maximising the opportunities presented to exhibitors and local industry,” Ms Anderson said.
“Aspects like the Meet the Buyer and Business Matching sessions on the Industry and Trade Only day allow for those in the mining and engineering sectors to arrive on site and be guided to a number of pre-scheduled tailored appointments with exhibitors who we feel would be relevant to their identified needs and commercial interests.”
With registrations essential for both buyers and general attendees on the day, Beth said she was blown away with the interest received to date.
“Some of the larger mining based companies have already registered 20 plus purchasing based delegates for the tailored sessions and contractors from Victoria and New South Wales registering just to attend.”
MineX is also proving to be a boost for the local economy and small business, with exhibitors, visitors, media and affiliated guests using local accommodation, hospitality, car hire and associated services over the week they are in the city.
Commerce North West President Travis Crowther encouraged locals to also get behind the event by attending on the public open days Wednesday and Thursday with gates opening at 10am daily and over 100 interactive indoor and open air interactive exhibits planned.
MineX is on May 16-18.
