Polmans, 19, won his first tournament in the capital last week and on Sunday will play on the red dirt at the Lyneham Tennis Centre in the singles and double finals.

Banes upset number one seed Jordi Samper-Montana 6-3 7-6(2) in a tough two hour semi-final on Saturday.

Second seed Polmans had an easier time beating wildcard Jeremy Beale winning 6-3 6-4 in just over an hour.

In the doubles, top seeds Bradley Mousley and Polmans defeated Brazilian pair Fernando Romboli and Thales Turini 6-7(2) 6-1 10-6.

Second seeds Steven De Waard and Scott Puodziunas defeated Banes and Gavin Van Peperzeel in another close match 6-2 6-7(5) 11-9.

Tennis ACT boss and tournament director Kim Kachel said it has been a successful fortnight in the capital.

"It's been a fantastic few weeks and we've had another high quality field of world class clay courts players," Kachel said.

"Spaniard Jordi Samper-Montana plays a lot on clay in Europe and he said these are right up there with the best in world which is pleasing to hear."

Kachel said with players from Spain, Brazil, Japan, USA, Great Britain and New Zealand he anticipates the tournament will only get stronger.

"The field just keeps getting better and better and it's a great launch pad before the players head over to Europe," Kachel said.

"Marc has secured his spot in the French open qualifiers and he has really been the story over the two weeks.

"He gained a lot of confidence at this year's Australian Open making the semi finals in the doubles and he may go to a new career high ranking now.

"I've known Marc for a long time and he's a real student of the game with a great work ethic."
