The fete’s convener Amy Webb estimated several thousand people that may have walked through the gate on Friday night. “It’s hard to say.”
But the numbers were steady compared to last year, which was the school’s first fete in 10 years.
The event had many types of entertainment to make it a family night out, she said. This included sideshow alley, and a licensed sports bar where many fathers were spotted watching the footy.
“We’re so lucky the Broncos were playing. The Cowboys would have been better,” Ms Webb said.
The school’s P & F president Ann-Marie Eaton preferred not to estimate the profits raised from the night and said the final figures would be known this week.
“We’re really impressed with how well attended it was,” she said.
Entertainment included band BullDust, a Sikaran Karate display, and the Mount Isa School of Dance.
