Around 300 people perused items for sale including parts, light vehicles, bulldozers, and prime movers.
Tomkins Valuers Auctioneers and Agents managed the auction, with director Chris Tomkins calling the auction.
Mr Tomkins said there were 169 registered bidders on site and 67 registered on the simulcast online from all over the world.
Clients visited Mount Isa from throughout Australia and overseas, including New Zealand and South Africa.
A total of 750 lots were sold on the day.
Mr Tomkins reeled off a list of big brand names including Hallmark, Kenworth, Mack, Caterpillar, Polaris, and Toyota.
“There are 31 late model Hallmark semi side-tipping trailers and 21 dollies, Polaris Rangers, forklifts, 90 Toyota light vehicles.
“It’s transitional stuff that’s still got good life in it, which is good for contractors, some of it will get stripped down for parts which is a big thing,” he said.
Underground machinery for sale included loaders, trucks, forklifts, drill rigs and skid steer loaders.
Bidding started at 9am following an inspection day on Tuesday for anyone wanting to view items before buying.
A Mount Isa Mines spokesperson said the event was a success as usual.
“The auction enhances our sustainable development performance while presenting a valuable opportunity for buyers to secure quality items,” the spokesperson said.
It gives smaller mining operations, landowners, and members of the community an opportunity to purchase equipment and materials at a fraction of their market value.

“Importantly, the auction means our retired equipment and disused materials are given a new life elsewhere.
“It also gives smaller mining operations, landowners, and members of the community an opportunity to purchase equipment and materials at a fraction of their market value.”
All vehicle parts were sourced from Glencore’s Mount Isa Mines, some of which were almost new.
