The company told the ASX a detailed review of geological and geophysical data from their airborne survey over their Isa prospects in late 2016 identified a “series of potential targets for exploration”.
The company says it now has an extensive field program scheduled for May 2017 which will provide the information necessary to “refine prospective anomalies into targets that can be drill-tested with confidence and reliability”.
They say field work in quarter two of this year will lay the foundations for MRG to prioritise its exploration projects and have drill rigs operating at the best of its Isa targets in the second half of the year.
The projects target iron oxide-copper-gold and base metal deposits over seven licences.
The targets are spread from Kamileroi and Oban in the Lower Gulf, Mount Angelay, Selwyn and Squirel Hill near Mount Isa, Pulchera near the Northern Territory border and Davenport Downs towards the South Australian border.
