A DOMINANT second round of golf secured a 20-stroke win for Sheila Stewart in the Panel Repairs Easter Carnival held on the weekend.

The 36-hole event was held on Saturday and Sunday at the Mount Isa Golf Club, and attracted a field of 12 players.
At the completion of the first round, Stewart carded an impressive 67 nett well clear of all her rivals.
Stewart continued her impressive performance on Sunday with steady middle of the fairway drives, accurate chips and putting earning her an even more impressive nett of 62 on the final day.
The twenty-stroke victory put Stewart well clear of runner-up Ulla Allen who finished the day on 149 nett.
Rene Thompson carded the best score on the first day with 71 nett while Angie Sciascia had 73 nett on the final round giving her best card honours on Sunday.
Nearest to the pin prizes on Saturday went to Auretta Perrin, on the eight hole, Angie Sciascia on the 11th hole and Louise Faint,14th hole.
Alison Gordon-Dunbar, fifth hole, Angie Sciascia, 10th hole, and Auretta Perrin, 14th hole, took pin honours in the final round.
Earlier in the week Ulla Allen claimed Wednesdays Topfire Constructions trophy recording 69 nett in the stroke event.
Glenda Fietz’s score of 73 nett saw her take home the runners-up award while ball rundown honours went to Sandra Beattie with a 74 nett.
A clean sweep of closest to the pin awards went to Auretta Perrin on holes 5, 14 and 17.
Following the close of play, April’s monthly medals were decided with Alison Gordon-Dunbar coming up trumps in the silver division with 80 nett, Eva Gordon 75 nett claimed Bronze 1 and Sandra Beattie claimed Bronze 2 with 74 nett.
The putting champion was Sheila Stewart with 31 putts.
