Dalby State School will remain closed on Wednesday following a major fire that tore through the school overnight.

School staff would be on site on Wednesday morning to make sure any students who arrived at school could go home safely as emergency services teams continued their assessment of the fire, which police believe was deliberately lit.
Principal Mona Anau said the fire had destroyed the school's administration facilities, music, staffroom and two classrooms as well as a specialist music room.
"We are a tight-knit community that supports each other and we will get through this. Buildings can always be rebuilt," she said in a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon.
"However, naturally we are very disappointed and we will work hard with our community and with the department to recover and get back to normal as quickly as possible.
"We would ask for the community to continue to be our eyes and ears and report any suspicious activity they might have seen."

Police are investigating after a fire they believe was deliberately lit ripped through a Darling Downs state school overnight.
Emergency services were called to Dalby State School on Cunningham Street after reports flames were coming through the front of the building.
Four fire trucks tried to extinguish the blaze from outside the building before firefighters moved inside.
No-one was injured in the fire, which took three hours to control.
The blaze caused an estimated $700,000 worth of damage, according to ABC News.
QFES inspector Neil Fanning said about one third of the timber building had been destroyed.
"The music hall was on fire and it was spreading into the administration block when we arrived," he told ABC.
Police said preliminary investigations into the fire indicated it was deliberately lit.
Principal Mona Anau told The Today Show the school building was heritage listed.
"This building is 150 years old, it is a loss for our school community but it is also a loss for the wider community," she said.
A crime scene has been established at the school, which was guarded overnight.
