MineX 2017 event manager Katie Schrodter said the chamber was keen on diversifying and expanding the event with a number of evening functions, interactive exhibits, show specials and displays to add to proceedings.
“While we (Commerce North West) will have an enormous line up of exhibitors showcasing the latest in innovative products and services this year we have also concentrated on ways to ensure the whole region can benefit from the event,” Ms Schrodter said.
That means growing the popular Meet the Buyer sessions on Tuesday, which will feature a number of tailored meetings between industry representatives and exhibitors right through to increasing site catering, she said.
“We have tried to implement as much feedback from past events as possible to maximise benefits and satisfaction to everyone from exhibitors, local business and the general public, right through to our large corporates,” she said.
Minex 2017 kicks off at 7am Tuesday May 16 with a Business Breakfast at the Mount Isa Civic Centre hosted by Department of State Development; trade and industry representatives are then invited to take in the exhibits at Buchanan Park from 10am.
Following on from the morning’s activities Tuesday’s MineX program will also feature an all new Mining in the North West information session hosted on site, where registered guests and exhibitors will hear from speakers ranging from Jemena discussing the Northern Gas Pipeline, through to MMG providing an overview on the Dugald River Mine.
Minex 2017 runs from Tuesday May 16 through to Thursday May 18 at Buchanan Park.
