If so, you are invited to the North West Queensland Regional Projects Forum, hosted by Department of State Development on the opening morning of MineX.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution brings together a range of new technologies that are fusing the physical, digital and biological worlds
Find out more what the fourth industrial revolution means and what this can mean for the resource sector.
Automation with driverless trucks, trains and plant is already proven and will become more the norm but this is but the start of the possible digital disruption.
It will also mean deep data integration across all supply chains, including the use of blockchain to assure supply and contract financing which flows into the real world of scheduling the automated systems while the concept of paddock to plate will become mine to factory.
MMG’s Dugald River Mine development is set to be one of the world’s top ten zinc mines with an estimated mine life of 25 years and to remain competitive, MMG and its supply chain will embrace these new technologies.
At the forum you can hear from the MMG General Manager on the challenges and opportunities going forward.
Also speaking will be the executive director of cutting edge firm Core Resources who says the North West Queensland region is ideally placed to be the global leader in mineral and rare metals processing and how opportunities can develop in the research of processing technology.
Presenters will be Professor Ian Atkinson, Director of eResearch Centre James Cook University, Pierre Malan, General Manager, MMG Ltd, Jonathon Loraine, Executive Director, Core Group.
It is on Tuesday, May 16 at the Mount Isa Civic Centre.
