A firearm has been found in a burnt-out car, which Gold Coast police believe was stolen in a home invasion over the weekend.

Police found the fire-damaged Chrysler on Kopps Road at Oxenford about 9pm, almost 24 hours after two men had stormed a Coomera home, robbed and attacked a woman and stolen her car.
The men had forced their way into the Gunther Street address and demanded jewellery and keys to the car before they punched the female resident.
During the attack a single shot was fired, police said, however they could not confirm who had discharged the firearm.
The men then allegedly fled the scene in the stolen Chrysler, which was found Monday night.
A firearm and ammunition were also found inside the vehicle, police said.
It is believed the incident was a targeted attack and the men and woman were known to each other.
She is yet to make a formal complaint. No one has been charged in relation to the incident.
