The couple's first child, Jax, arrived on Tuesday, prompting a rush of good wishes from the football community.
The pending arrival was cause for some anxiety among Magpie fans when Pendlebury last week said he would travel to Sydney to play in the clash against GWS Giants but was prepared to depart mid-match if Alex went into labour.
