“The service has an obligation to do our absolute best with the resources we have at hand and with the generous donations from our community,” the organisation said in its News from the Region email.
“It is this responsibility that has led us to the decision to finalise our community engagement role in Mount Isa.
“This decision was not made lightly and we will still be supporting our amazing crew to do their most important work, saving lives.
Lifeflight thanked the fundraising staff who worked in this role, Kara, Cera and Gemma.
“The office in West St has been closed but you’ll continue to see our hard working crew out on the ground at community events and in the sky doing their lifesaving work,” they said.
