PAFtec national technical sales manager Maria Fox said the masks as demonstrated by Tyrell Masterson of Mount Isa Mines at Buchanan Park were one of a range of three Cleanspace products offering the latest in mask protection.
“This is a powered air purifying respirator,” Ms Fox said.
“What it does is clean contaminants out of the air, filtered through the motor at the back and putting clean air through the mask.”
Ms Fox said most masks were negative pressure masks but the Cleanspace range was positive pressure which provided a higher degree of protection against air contaminants.
