On June 4 from 9am the annual fun run will colour Lake Moondarra, thanks to Bek Moore and Emma Harman from Pink BITZ fundraising group.
Ms Harman said the funds raised will go towards researching a disease that affects most of us.
"One in two Australians will develop a form of cancer in their life time.”
“Research into better treatments will help everyone. We raise funds for research because research can change lives. There is still a long way to go and so much more to find out,” Ms Harman said.
Tickets are $40 each for anyone over 12 years old and can be purchased through Colours For Cancer 2017 on Facebook, TryBooking.com, or the Hit102.5 offices.
The 5km fun run begins at 9am at Lake Moondarra and ends in a cumulative cloud of coloured powder, included in each goody bag.
Around 500 people participated in the event last year.
Ms Harman encouraged anyone interested in the fun run to register now.
“We all have a cancer story – it may by our own, it may be a parent, or grandparent or a friend”, Ms Harman said.
“Colours for Cancer gives Mount Isa’ans the chance to make a real difference and have a heap of fun doing it,” she said.
