It is unknown whether the US musician is aware he’s stealing the name of X Factor winner 2015 Cyrus Villanueva, who also goes by Cyrus.
It comes as the father to Miley celebrates the 25th anniversary of his wildy popular hit “Achy, Breaky Heart”.
A spokeswoman for Cyrus (Villanueva’s) record label, Sony, said their client was currently in studio recording and declined to comment further.
In April the KidsWish ambassador posted to Facebook saying he was in Los Angeles “tucked away working on a new project”.
