Police prosecution was unable to present evidence against Mr Yanner.
His appearance was not necessary for the court’s proceedings but he was represented in person by principal solicitor Anderson Telford, who was told by the magistrate; “the defendant is discharged. Pass that onto your client.”
A district court trial against Mr Yanner involving charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle was dismissed in March.
