Mr Crisafulli was the Local Government, Community Recovery and Resilience Minister in Campbell Newman's government, but lost hist seat of Mundingburra at the 2015 election.
He reportedly won the vote 90 to 24 at the Runaway Bay Community Centre on Saturday night.
It is uncertain what Ms Barton's future will be with the LNP after the next state election.
The electorate of Broadwater is considered one of the safest seats for the LNP in Queensland after the redistribution.

Ms Barton congratulated Mr Crisafulli and wished him well.
"I have proudly represented the community of Broadwater in the Queensland Parliament since 2012 and will continue that important role until the next state election, whenever that may be," Ms Barton said.
"The past five years as the LNP's member for Broadwater have been stimulating, challenging and thoroughly enjoyable."
Mr Crisafulli said he was honoured the LNP members of Broadwater had chosen him to represent them as their candidate.

Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls congratulated Mr Crisafulli.
???"I would like to pay special tribute to Verity Barton's enthusiasm and hard work in representing the people of Broadwater since 2012," Mr Nicholls said.
"I look forward to continuing to work with her through until the next election."
Ms Barton was the youngest woman elected to the Queensland Parliament in 2012, at the age of 26.
LNP president Gary Spence thanked Ms Barton for her commitment and congratulated Mr Crisafulli.
