Queensland enforcer Josh Papalii has urged Maroons coach Kevin Walters to give the forward pack a shot at redemption, backing players to make amends for a game-one defeat.

Walters is contemplating changes to his side for the second State of Origin on June 21 after the Maroons failed the fire a shot in the series opener last week.
Papalii was one of Queensland's best in his first opportunity in the starting team and he believes the pain of losing game one will drive players to bash NSW if they get a second chance.
Walters and NSW counterpart Laurie Daley will pick their sides for game two after NRL games this weekend.
Papalii will play for the Canberra Raiders against the Penrith Panthers in Bathurst on Saturday as he digs in for a battle to keep his Origin spot.
Papalii was physically and mentally drained after playing 139 minutes in five days, including Canberra's all 82 minutes of Canberra's golden-point loss to Manly, but didn't hesitate when asked if Queensland should make changes.
"Personally, I don't think changes would be good at this time," Papalii said.
"I reckon you've got a few [Queensland] forwards there hurting from game one and ready to try to win the second one. That's just my personal thought, I'm not a selector.
"I've just got to make sure my name is read out and hopefully that happens."
Papalii's presence will be even more important for the Raiders' clash against Penrith after prop Shannon Boyd was ruled out indefinitely on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has been a workhorse for the Raiders this year, playing almost every minute of his 11 games.
But his main priority is ensuring the Raiders end their yoyo form and force their way back into the top eight by beating the Panthers.
The Raiders and Panthers sit on the cusp of the top eight at the halfway point of the season and winning in Bathurst will give the Green Machine a jump before their bye next weekend.
"No one likes losing, I don't take losses that well," Papalii said.
"[Losing Origin] was pretty hurtful and then coming back to Canberra and losing, it was hard to swallow.
"But the NRL is a long season and hopefully this win [against the Panthers] can turn things around.
"The Panthers are a bit like us at the moment. Everyone had us being in the top four but halfway through the season we're both struggling to find form.
"Hopefully this weekend can start something special."
Luke Bateman will make his return from a thumb injury against the Panthers while little known rookie, Royce Hunt, is in contention for a bench spot for his NRL debut.
The Raiders have added hooker Kurt Baptiste and Dave Taylor to an extended bench as both look to overcome injury-plagued seasons.
