Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has confirmed that two Australians died when terrorists launched an attack in the heart of London over the weekend.

Ms Bishop said she was "deeply saddened" to announce the Australians' deaths, and said government officials were working with UK authorities to officially confirm the identities of the victims.
The family of South Australian nurse Kirsty Boden has already paid tribute to the 28-year-old, saying she was running to help victims of the stabbing and van attack on London Bridge and Borough Market when she was killed on Saturday night, local time.
Another Australian - 21-year-old Sara Zelenak from Brisbane - had been reported missing in London after she was last seen running from the three attackers while wearing high heels.
"We continue to work with the United Kingdom authorities who have asked that we await official confirmation of the identities of the victims, and for the families to be officially notified, before we release their names," Ms Bishop said in a statement on Wednesday morning.
"The Australian Government has remained in close contact with the families who have requested privacy. We ask the media to respect their request at this difficult and harrowing time."
