A business which illegally signed up vulnerable people in Normanton to paid training courses has been forced to pay $430,000 in penalties in a Queensland Office of Fair Trading investigation. Ozzy Fortune Group was fined $400,000 and three employees were fined $10,000 each.

Ozzy Fortune targeted Indigenous consumers, as well as those in regional and remote areas, and those with low levels of literacy and numeracy skills.
$25,000 of the penalty will be given to the Normanton Police Citizens Youth Club.
