The Mount Isa Tigers stalwart is now on the wrong side of 45 years old but still prepared to put the boots on in an emergency.
Scrimgeour is a life member for the Tigers born 18th March 1972 and a member of the Tigers Side of the Decade – though friends say that “decade” may well be the last one of the 20th century.
Nevertheless he was still happy to put on the boots again for the Tigers in 2017.
He was happy to answer an SOS running on to the appropriately named Legends Oval when numbers were down as they were against Rovers AFC on Saturday. Passionate about the game Craig gives 100% for his team and covers multiple positions making him a coach’s dream when lacking big men on the field. Craig played in the ruck this weekend and was a standout player in an undermanned Tigers side.
Though the Tigers didn’t come away with the chocolates, team mates were sure if the numbers were down again they’d be able count on this “old Tiger”.
