Frost, 28, faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was charged with facilitating match fixing, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years' jail.

He was also charged with dealing drugs to Anderson; tennis coach Dean Santillan, whose son, Akira Santillan, is ranked in the top 200; two middling former semi-professional tennis players; and an aspiring professional surfer.

Court documents show Frost is alleged to have dealt cannabis to Anderson only days before he allegedly approached him about fixing a match. He also allegedly dealt cocaine, oxycodone and other prescription medications.

Frost reached a career-high ranking of 458 in 2012, but had a two-year break from the sport in 2013. He last played at a tournament in Cairns last October.

The Queensland police charges, which came about after secretive coercive hearings were conducted by the state's Crime and Corruption Commission, mark another troubling case of a promising Australian junior tennis player being linked to match fixing.

Frost, from the Brisbane suburb of Chelmer, was also charged with nine counts of supplying a dangerous drug and one offence of possess a dangerous drug.

It is the second time a former tennis player has been charged with sports corruption and drug charges. Victorian tennis player, Matthew Fox, was convicted of similar charges in 2014.

It can be revealed that several tennis figures were investigated over the approach to Anderson and the betting plunge on his match at the Traralgon challenger tournament.

Anderson was sentenced in a Victorian court last month for a sports corruption offence.

He told police he had been approached by a friend in Queensland, alleged to be Frost, to throw the first set of the match, but go on to win in three sets.

After the draw was completed the day before the match, Anderson agreed.

Crownbet reported suspicious activity to police after a punter allegedly tried to bet $10,000 on the match, with Anderson to win in three sets against Harrison Lombe, who was ranked 900 places below him.

Crownbet rejected the bet, but allowed a wager of $2000.

Anderson won the match on October 24 in 26 minutes, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2, and the punter made a $10,000 profit.

The man allegedly tried to place a multi-bet of $13,000 in the same tournament, with the Anderson match the first leg, and another match, which was not fixed, making up the second leg. Crownbet rejected that bet.

Dozens of betting accounts were analysed after the Anderson match, given there had been a number of bets placed on him winning in three sets, but only activity on one account is believed to have been deemed suspicious.

Crownbet declined to comment.

The man who approached Anderson was portrayed as "preying" on him during the tennis champ's appearance at Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court last month.

Anderson, who was the reigning Australian Open boys champion at the time he was approached, had been troubled with injury, worried about not meeting the obligations of a lucrative sponsorship contract, and was falling out of love with the sport.

He co-operated with the police investigation into the fixing offence and pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.

Queensland police said in a statement that the drug and serious crime group, the Crime and Corruption Commission and the Victoria Police sporting integrity intelligence unit were involved in the investigation.

"The investigation led detectives to suspect that a number of people received information that the match would allegedly be fixed and subsequently placed bets through various betting agencies," Queensland police said.

Detective Superintendent Jon Wacker said match fixing was a growing concern in Australia, and that the investigation into Anderson's fixed match remained open.

"Match fixing pulls at the very fabric of our sporting culture and identity," he said.

Frost ???was bailed to face court again later this month.
