Watch all the performances from 12.30pm at the Pavilion stage this Friday June 23.
Nominations close this Wednesday June 21.
With just a few days until the show, performers will need to organise themselves quickly.
Contestants can enter with any talent that includes clothing, says organiser Sherrie Tuppurainen.
“We are looking for any talent; comedians, circus performers, dancers, singers, bands, magicians, ventriloquists, anything, any musical instrument, single player or group,” Ms Tuppurainen said.
If you have a talent and would like to enter, you will need to complete and send in a copy of the entry form and T&Cs form to mountisashow@gmail.com
All information and entry forms can be found on the Mount Isa Show Facebook page ‘Mount Isa Show Society 23rd and 24th June 2017’.
Entry is $20 per performer aged 8 years or older.
First prize is $1000 cash, second prize is $750 and third prize is $250.
Performers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible and paying adult.
Previous winners include five-piece band Kissing Daylight and guitarist Jarrod Slater.
Other placings were won by dancer Maddison Dolzan and trumpet player James Mulliss.
Entry wristbands must be collected from the secretary’s office at Buchanan Park prior to this Thursday, June 22.
Entertainment reigns supreme at this year’s show, with Boulia country musician Ali S joining the musical line up.
A graduate of the 2017 Country Music Academy, Ali said the program has given him another step up on the country music ladder of live performances.
Show secretary, Ranita Tolhke is delighted to secure his services.
“We’re so excited to announce Ali S will be performing on both days of the show,” Ms Tohlke said.
His new single ‘I Need a Beer’, written with Catherine Britt, was inspired by his experience of working underground at Mount Isa Mine and looking forward to having a beer after work.
